Decently strengthens clinical safety capabilities in preparation for launch of Melo
We are delighted to welcome Dr Stephen Mullin onboard as our new Clinical Safety Officer (CSO).
Stephen is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 25 years experience of delivering care to patients within the NHS, together with providing Clinical Safety services via his own private practice.
He has a keen interest in all things digital health, whilst ensuring clinical safety and patient care are embedded into the heart of any new innovations.
Stephen is joining the team as a strategic consultant and will work alongside our Product and Compliance teams to ensure that all required DCB0129 certifications are in place for Melo™.
Dr Stephen Mullin, Clinical Safety Officer said:
“The chance to work with the team at Decently in helping bring Melo™ to market in the right way, with clinical safety and staff utility at its core, was something that appealed to me personally and as a clinician.
Having witnessed the devastating impact of brain injuries on patients, families and staff then anything we can do to improve the rehab journey for those involved is key to improving patient outcomes and helping organisations to deliver care in an optimal way”.
James Burch, Decently co-founder and Data Protection Officer:
“Having Stephen onboard is super exciting and critical to the stage we are at with Melo™. From day one, clinical safety and compliance has been a key part of how we wanted to build our products.
Stephen's first hand experience of looking after patients, together with his clinical safety expertise, will ensure we are putting in place the appropriate compliance certifications like DCB0129 as we prepare to launch Melo™ across our initial pilot sites in 2023”.
